Sweet Little Birdie

This card was made from the new My Sweet Pea set from the mini catalogue. The background is stamped in So Saffron and the bird is stamped in So Saffron for his beak and Chocolate Chip for his body. The paper comes from the Sweet Pea dsp stack and the scalloped edge is done in Taken with Teal. I decided not put a greeting on so this card can be used for any occasion. Hope you all have a great Bank Holiday Weekend!

Bella Bleu and Crumb Cake

The base for this card was made using Crumb Cake, the new name for Kraft. It's so long since I've used any of this, I always want to have the matching ink to stamp with, roll on October when I can get hold of it! The other base layers are made from Not Quite Navy and the Bella Bleu dsp, another one I haven't used much. The image is stamped with markers and comes from the Live Your Dream set, the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. The card is finished with some Crumb Cake/ Kraft taffeta ribbon and some Not Quite Navy brads. I really like how this card has turned out, what do you think?

Sweet Pea Bag and Card

This card and bag were made using some paper from the new Sweet Pea stack, I really do love the colours in these papers. Instructions to make the bag can be found here. The embellishment on the front on the bag is made from repeated stamping an image from Circle Circus in Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Old Olive. Different parts of the image were then punched out using the scallop circle, the 1 3/8" circle and the 1 1/4" circle punches. The card was made using the same image for the base and the Happy Birthday Circle greeting from Wow Flowers, this was finished off with an Old Olive brad.

Baby Giraffe Card

This card uses the little giraffe from the Fox and Friends set in the new mini, its very cute. The image was stamped in Pretty in Pink and the stars, which are from Nursery Necessities were stamped in So Saffron. The background paper comes from the new Sweet Pea paper stack. The card is finished off with some Old Olive brads, I think these are a little too close together, but once I made the holes I had to go with it.

So much new stuff!!

Firstly the new 2010 Mini Catalogue has launched and it is lovely, I am seriously loving the Sweet Pea dsp and the Stitched felts. To take a look just click on the link in my sidebar. Remember you can order from me at anytime, just email me at stampinwithjo@hotmail.com to place your order.

Secondly.....we are getting NEW colours!!! I am so excited about this I don't know how I'll mange to wait until October when they are released for sale. The whole colour families have undergone a Colour Renovation are are now called Collections in Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles..just take a look at these.....

Marina Mist and Rich Razzleberry look gorgeous!! As you can see the neutrals are now part of the Collections ...Kraft has been renamed Crumb Cake, yummy. There are ten colours in each collections instead of ten, leaving with 40 core colours. However we are also getting IN Colours which they have had in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so we will also get an extra 5 colours, which are still a surprise until they are released. These colours will stay with us for two years unlike the current In Colours which retire after just one year. Next summer, we will get a further set of 5 new In Colours, meaning we will always have 50 colours to play with.

You make have noticed from the chart above that some colours are missing, these have been retired to make way for the new colours.

I know many of you may some of your current favourites on here, I for one will be sad to see Sage Shadow and Taken with Teal go, but we all still have six months with these lovely colours so there is plenty of time to stock up on your favourites and just think of all the new favourites you will have in October. Thanks for reading all this if you made it to the bottom!!
