Season of Joy...again

Another Season of joy card, sorry but I just love this set, at least it's nearly Christmas so I will have to stop making Christmas cards.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Season of Joy, So Swirly Wheel
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Card/Paper: Ruby Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: Very Vanilla 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Gold Embossing Powder, Corner Rounder Punch

Method: First I ran the So Swirly Wheel across the bottom of the ruby red card, using Versamark ink in the cartridge. I then placed the ribbon along top of the pattern to separate the two areas. Next I embossing the greetings stamp with gold embossing powder. I rounded the corners of the stamped panel and then placed on a slightly larger panel of old olive.

Poinsettia Card

I haven't posted for ages as have been really busy with my baby son. Hopefully now I'll have a bit more time to post some of the cards and things which I have been making over the last few weeks.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Season of Joy
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Card/Paper: Ruby Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: Earth Element Brads, Theatre Ribbon Originals, Scallop Edge Punch, Clear Embossing Powder, SNAIL Adhesive

Method: Firstly I stamped the old olive card base with the small poinsettia in versamark to create a watermark effect. I then cut a panel of very vanilla and added a ruby red scalloped edge. The large poinsettia was then stamped on ruby red cardstock with versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, I then cut them out. The satin ribbon from the ribbon originals was placed across the middle of the very vanilla panel. The flowers were attached to the panel using the brads and then the panel was attached to the card using SNAIL.

Season of Joy, not just for Christmas

I made this card to show that the Season of Joy set can be used for other occasions and not just Christmas. This card uses whisper white as a base, onto which I embossed the Season of Joy flower with clear embossing powder. The background effect was done using pixie pink and tempting turquoise sponged on using a good old kitchen sponge. I then placed the pink edging on to soften the effect as it was a bit full on. The greeting is from the True Friend set.

New Catalogue and New stamps

I finally have a copy of the new catalogue and its great, there is some lovely new stamp sets and some new accessories, its definitely been worth the wait. Featured in the (very bad! sorry I was in a rush to use the stamps) photo are two of the new stamps sets Season of Joy (£24.95) and True Friend. Both sets are very versatile

These two cards were made using the Season of Joy set. The first uses real red cardstock, Dashing designer series paper, whisper white ribbon and a ribbon slide. The background was made by stamping the snowflake image with versamark ink.
The second card uses the Christmas tree image stamped in green galore and again uses the dashing designer series paper. The trees have been mounted using Stampin Dimensionals to give some depth to the card.

Spotty Thank You

Haven't posted for a while as my decorating got out of control and my mum has gone and moved furniture round in nearly every room in chaos. On the plus side my son's nursery is finished and I now have half a craft room, well actually a shelf but its a better than a big mess on the dining table!

This card was made using the Seeing Spots set, which I really love, sometimes the simple sets are the best. The colours are green galore, pixie pink and tempting turquoise. Originally I had made this card to stand portrait, but I actually think it looks good in landscape.

Will have more posts this week including details of stamping classes I am going to start in October, beginning with a launch party for the new catalogue ( fifteen days to go!), more details tomorrow.

A Little Romance

Just a quick card using the heart stamp from the Year After Year set. I used the masking techinque to place the second heart. I ripped the edges of the whipser white cardstock to give a softer edge, but unfortunately this hasn't come out to well on the scan. Cardstock background is real red and the brads are silver (although you can't really tell!)
I'm decorating over the weekend so they'll be no posts till next week. Enjoy the weekend.

First card up

Finally I've got my first card up after a few technical hitches! The main image from this card comes from the Year After Year set, which is now on the retired list. The background is stamped from the Seeing Spots set and the greeting comes from Cheer and Wishes. All cardstock and ink are Pixie Pink. As Stampin' Up! don't do grosgrain ribbon in this colour I used Whisper White ribbon and dyed it with the inkpad...so you can have any colour ribbon you want.

The retired list for the 2007-2008 has now been posted, see below

http://http//www2.stampinup.com/gb/documents/UK_Retired_List_07-08_num.pdf

If you want anything from this list now is the time to order as the list is while stocks last, so once its gone, its gone! Contact me today at stampinwithjo@hotmail.co.uk to place your order

This month I will be focusing on products on this list, starting this week with Year after Year, which is a very versatile set. I'll also keep you updated of any sell outs or changes to the list.

Signed Up!

I've finally signed up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator after thinking about it for the past few months, would have joined earlier but have just given birth to my first child which took some adjusting too. I can't wait for my starter kit to arrive so I can start creating things, its ages since I had any new craft stuff to play with!

As a special incentive to start off my Stampin' Up! career I am offering a free copy of the new catalogue, out at the end of September to anyone who places an order with me over £50.00.
